After you've got your sound, you can go to the "Record setting" tab on the Honestech software, and select your own output folder instead of the Honestech default. To get my sound I had to go into my computer's Sound Devices panel and select the proper input which appear s after the usb is connected as well. This should get you your video display from the device you've hooked your usb connections to (I'm assuming you did that after installing the software). change it from your device's web camera or whatever the default is pointing to. In here, select the "Video setting" tab and the go to the drop down box at the "Video Capture device" and select OEM(or EOM) Recording device. After registering the serial number for the product, you can bring up the bottom menu and then cursor and select the tiny Setting icon under "FILE SIZE". No two if's about it.It was easy to use the disc to install this software, but it was tricky to set up and use properly the way you'll want. Ive used it and let me tell you its honky dory mate! Just love it. You really cant lose a fairdinkum bargain. So for any of you that feel this is to good to be true well then that is a fact. SE doesnt have this but with care your files are easily archived. Ive also got ulead video studio PLUS on my computer and that has the added benefit of saving your work using the smart package option. The serial is stamped on the cd wallet. That in itself is professional ULEAD videostudio SE. In fact I reckon this should sell for $300.00 as its worth it with the bundled software you get with it. I have a laptop also thats just dying to meet this grabber. So those of you who have soopa doopa units well thats fair enough and that sounds cool but how can one lose on buying this fantastic Easy Capture device as a portable take anywhere unit. They sent it promptly and thanks to those in China for making this available. It actually cost me a massive $17.99 Australian dollars (lol) but with postage it totalled a grand total of $31.00 Australian. I am very pleased with it and over whelmed by the price of it. I used it all day today and it performs absolutely magnificent. Well let me tell you al no matter what anyone says its simply a brilliant little unit. I got this unit just a couple of days ago and have had some issues with audio but this was because i had my default recording function set to front microphone as being the reason. Serial number for Ulead is stamped on the paper cover of the cd. Well worth the price of ebay in fact its a real give away for the software alone is worth a couple hundred dollars in itself. To me this little handsome unit is the best "capture Card" and I just love the size of it and its easily transportable as well. It there any capture device I use to open 8. I was still able to download 5.0 with an old product key, but I cant unlock the upgrade with the new product key. Although not essential to do this ULEAD videostudio SE will allow for these adjustments in the editing field. Tech support told me they couldnt troubleshoot because 5.0 was too old. The picture quality is excellent and I love the settings for sharpness contrast and saturation that can be set before capture. My audio is crystal clear and work perfectly now. You have to set the easy cap as the default recording device in order for it to work. At first I had all the audio settings wrongly set, and man you get some very scratchy audio happenning. Make sure that you set the correct screen resolution also. In order to get excellent results you need to set DVD picture quality in the captue options in ULEAD video studio SE that comes with easy cap. When you use it you must make sure that all the settings are set correctly. I bought this unit and WOW its the best thing ever. I'll review my steps and attempt to follow yours step by step. So using the above steps has given you a high quality picture result? I've had no trouble capturing sound or picture but the pic quality is poor (as per my previous post). Now you can enjoy the DVD Quality capture! Select easycap as your audio device>next>next>next>start capture Make sure easycap USB is selected under sound recording Go to start>control panel>sound and audio devices (If there is a yellow mark on easy cap or under USB devices >right click on that and click on uninstall then click on action at the top and say scan for hardware changes.) Make sure you have “easycap” under sound, Video and game controllers Right Click on my computer>Properties>Hardware>Device Manger If it is not allowed to change you need to exit the sound card control icon in your system tray (Bottom right hand corner of the desktop near to the system clock) You need to change your Sound device as the USB Audio Device (Name may be different in DC60 DC60+ ) As default you have your sound card device selected in there.
